Michael Lassman

Programme Director

Michael first worked in the arena of equalities during the early 1980s as a specialist youth worker, with young people with severe learning difficulties. In 1991, he set up a training agency that offered equality training, research and evaluation consultancy to local/health authorities and voluntary agencies. In 2004 he was employed as the Executive Director of a national charity working in the field of mental health. Since 2007 he has been advising local authorities and PCTs on the development of improved equality practice. Michael offers First Ascent clients a creative and inclusive approach to this difficult issue. In so doing, delegates find it easier to address the personal and organisation challenges that equalities creates.
