A programme of high impact workshops to support high growth potential businesses across Oxfordshire, covering a range of topics including sales effectiveness, digital skills, accessing finance and agile/lean techniques.

Organisation Overview

Oxfordshire Business Support, within the Oxfordshire LEP, is responsible for supporting the county’s high growth businesses to maximise their potential and drive employment and the local economy.

Our Approach

First Ascent worked with Oxfordshire Business Support (OBS) to decide the priority training needs of growth businesses and eight workshop topics were agreed: Sales for Growth, Bringing New Products to Market, Accessing Finance, Being Tax Efficient, Digital Marketing Essentials, Digital Marketing Advanced, Making Your Business Efficient and Planning for Growth.

Up to 20 business leaders attend each workshop and leave with a practical action plan to apply their learning immediately. Each workshop runs six times in different locations across Oxfordshire. Venues were surveyed and negotiated as part of our support. All attendees also have access to free lifetime mentoring to assist them in growing their business.

First Ascent continues to work closely with OBS to keep refining the programme content and ensure the service to their critical SME customers is highly relevant and of world class standards.

100% of delegates attending the workshops have said that they would recommend the workshops to other businesses and will apply their learning in their own business to support their growth ambitions.
