First Ascent Announces Acquisition of The Oakridge Centre

The First Ascent Group is pleased to announce their acquisition of The Oakridge Centre, a Manchester based company providing training, facilitation, and coaching services.

First Ascent have known of The Oakridge Centre for some time and were delighted to be able to make an offer for the company. The two organisations share similar values, have been in existence for a similar length of time and interestingly have never worked with the same clients.

Although legally and financially this is an acquisition, we are treating this relationship as much more a merger of two great leadership training organisations.” says First Ascent’s David Sales. “It brings together the skills and people of two organisations, to expand the services offered to our existing customers, as well as broadening our footprint in the market and enhancing opportunities for business growth.”

The Oakridge Centre, established in 1996, counts AstraZeneca, Tata Chemicals, NHS Blackpool Teaching Hospitals and Leeds University as key clients. The Oakridge Centre is the founder of the STRIDE programme for aspiring female leaders and the Embracing Difference programme which supports organisations to embrace diversity and inclusion.

Our company values are completely aligned to those of the First Ascent Group,” says Simone Robinson, Managing Director of The Oakridge Centre. “We are all so pleased to be working hand in hand with the team at First Ascent and look forward to providing so much more support to clients across both companies.”
